Who will provide waxing services?

All estheticians at Relax & Wax Hawaii are fully licensed and certified to perform waxing services to the highest standards. Proper sanitation and sterilization methods are maintained at all times. All estheticians are graduates of accredited beauty schools in Honolulu, and each one carries their own liability license.

What can I expect from my first Brazilian waxing service?

For your first Brazilian waxing experience, please allow hair to be at least 1/4- to 1/2-inch long for best results. The longer the hair is, the better waxing results you will have. You will need to be showered too, as Brazilian waxing includes removing hair from "down there," including the okole area. If you are unable to shower before your appointment, disposable wipes are available for your convenience. Disposable spa underwear is also available upon request if you really can't bear to bare all! Ask for a "Smoothie Girl" and get everything taken off! Or, if you prefer, you may request a triangle or rectangle "landing strip."

How long does waxing last?

Most clients book appointments every 4 to 6 weeks. We do not recommend waxing sooner than that as hair grows in different phases and does not completely grow out in less than 4 to 6 weeks. You will be smoother and hair-free longer if you wait at least that long.

Does it hurt?

We have provided waxing services to over hundreds of clients, and each individual's pain tolerance differs. In general, waxing is more uncomfortable one week before or after one's menstrual period. Too much caffeine or alcohol can also affect skin sensitivities. Most customers are surprised at how efficient and tolerable waxing really is. Your esthetician will provide after-care instructions to minimize any discomfort.
